Car companies, eager to be 'first', are rolling out autonomous vehicles before the idea is ready for prime time. Tech is not ready, laws are not ready, and the majority of drivers would rather control their own vehicles.

Who can afford a new vehicle. And the cost of a Pick-up is outrageous

Oh, right, about 50 years from now. In the meantime, two generations of workers will be making a living making cars which will still be bought by people who will own them.

😴 And in what do you ride ? Question is more why cant they reconfigure their plants not 'easily' ? Those robots dont care about size of cars ..
