The problem is that the ANC has been in power but never in charge. Being in charge is knowing how things work or why they don't/won't work. For that you need a sense of ownership. The ANC, now under CyrilRamaphosa, never understood Eskom or any electricity supply sector.

Eskom was run well when some ANC deployees were in charge. Andre de Ruyter was not an ANC deployee in Nampak.
He can resign like any other employee who feels like they are being prevented from doing their job at a company they work at unless if it’s a family business in which they have a birthright to.
