Real estate agents have accused Daft, the property listings website, of abusing its dominant position in the Irish market, the Business Post has learned.

The Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers made an official complaint last week to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission making a number of allegations.

In correspondence sent to Ipav members, Pat Davitt, chief executive of the body, claimed that Daft had “abused its dominant position”.
