abc.net.au/news/gina-rinehart-hancock-prospecting-considered-mining-at-wittenoom/101353730Gina Rinehart's prospecting company has considered digging for iron ore in the asbestos-riddled area around Wittenoom.Documents released through Freedom of Information show Hancock Prospecting has considered mining an area near Wittenoom
The traditional owners were seeking information about whether Hancock had ever expressed interest in the Wittenoom site. It is an asbestos management plan that "identifies and mitigates risk of human exposure" to asbestos for activities on the tenement such as drilling, construction and driving.
Traditional owners should stick to hunting kangaroos, while the rest of us create the wealth they lean on
😳
And as usual the local aboriginal activists oppose the mine and jobs etc.
The plans are from 2008. Clearly Hancock aren't interested any more. I'd be asking what the government is doing with the MRF payments. Taxpayers have hundreds of millions of $ in the fund, specifically for legacy rehabilitation.
Hope she will do it personally.
GOD is spelled M O N E Y! Does she think she can take it with her?
