The 3,533 square foot location features reclaimed wood flooring from a 16th-century French church and reclaimed antique brick straight from 19th-century Chicago. Other details of the restaurant include black leather booths inspired by classic cars of the mid-1900s, vintage lights and cigarette cards highlighting sports and movie stars of the early 20th century and a black lacquered bar ceiling with custom brass and a glass back bar.
D.L. Mack’s will feature the same food as its original location in University Park, including a Chicago cracker crust tavern-style pizza offering. Other fan favorites include the Larchmont Salad, Blackened Redfish, and Garlic Shrimp Scampi. Vandelay Hospitality Group, which was founded by CEO Hunter Pond in 2012, also recently opened its Brentwood restaurant in North Dallas and Hudson House will open its fifth location in Los Angeles this year.
Its portfolio of sit-down and casual concepts includes East Hampton Sandwich Co., Hudson House Restaurant & Raw Bar, Drake's Hollywood, D.L. Mack's, Brentwood Restaurant & Bar and The Anchor Bar, which is set to open in 2023.
