The operation identified people who allegedly committed crime within a north Dublin Garda district

27 people are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Thursday arising from a Garda operation focusing on crime that impacts the business sector.The operation was part of an ongoing initiative by the J District - the Clontarf, Howth and Raheny Garda stations - which is said to place"increased emphasis on business and retail outlets who were the victims of crime".

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said this activity has resulted in 27 people set to appear before the District Courts charged with 37 alleged offences arising from 29 incidents of burglary, criminal damage and theft affecting the sector. Of these 29 incidents, 15 occurred in the Clontarf sub-district, 11 happened in the Raheny sub-district and three took place in the Howth sub-district.
