Tesla faces new lawsuit filed in San Francisco over its autopilot driving system.

A Sacramento man has filed a proposed class-action lawsuit against Tesla for allegedly misleading the public regarding its autopilot and full self-driving technology.

Matsko — who, according to the complaint, purchased a new 2018 Tesla Model X and paid Tesla $5,000 in addition to the vehicle’s base price for the Enhanced Autopilot version of Tesla’s autopilot technology — brought the suit on behalf of himself and other consumers who purchased or leased a new Tesla vehicle with Tesla’s full self-driving technology. Burlingame-based Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy LLP represents the plaintiff and potential class.
