You mean LoutreBoite don’t you?

ambermac Sad and disgusting that it still needs to be this way.

Who even needs to speak French anymore? There is no benefit. One of the reasons products cost so much in Canada is because French language translation is required on everything. Nobody speaks it , only in Quebec.

One step of many that serves Quebec right.

Why not have Otterboxfrance import to Quebec? Is France not French enough for JustinTrudeau and francoislegault ?

More companies should follow otter box

Yep - this was bound to start happening. All French but no products is the end game. Even France figured this out.

Good thing I live in New-Brunswick. :-)

Good I hope others follow

🤣🤣🤣 Quebecers are spiraling like the woke.

They can’t translate something ? Their loss.

Hey, in Kbec French is the only official language. Yup, so why does the rest of Canada have to acknowledge French as an official language. Duh. I totally support otterbox for their stance.

Good. Let English-hating Quebec go without this and all other English products.

Diversity, inclusion, human rights... not in Quebec. Oh yeah, and they are the most crime ridden province in Canada. Never stop in Quebec, just keep on going. Unless you speak and read french, you'll never find where your going anyway. An international disgrace.

Quebec should just separate already

Awwwww. lolol

Le Otterbox

Very good, QC… your language laws are excluding your residents from products & services! 🙄🥴 🔨

I will, when I buy my next phone. Excellent product.

Obviously Quebec market isn’t important to the company. I don’t know what Quebec market is important for

So much posturing with no consequences 😂 'consumers can still buy its products from retailers like Staples, Amazon and the Apple Store, as well as through mobile phone providers like Rogers and Telus.'

Good!

Good, they don't deserve an Otterbox case

I wish OtterBox would stop shipping until Bill 96 is reverted! Don't waste money on satisfying this law which discriminates against all languages except French. Quebec wants everyone to do as they say, not as they do. Where is English in their signage Small print if any.

Do they ship to France? How many more American companies will stop shipping to Quebec in the near future? These are the relevant questions

Hold that

Boîte à loutre just doesn't have the same effect

Quebec making it more costly and inconvenient for businesses to sell to their very small market is so dumb and shortsighted. Also very hypocritical because they don’t require their businesses to have English on signs or have employees willing to speak it. Not a good move.

Good it is stupid

👍

I worked for a Canadian company that refused to do any work in Quebec. It’s not uncommon.

Love it.

Considering phone cases are plastic products….and plastics originate from fossil fuel ….. Knowing how much Quebec poo poo’s on the O&G industry I see a certain irony And hope stories like this continue with all plastic products 😈

My own experience of travelling in Quebec is that any supposedly unilingual Francophone who wants you to spend money suddenly becomes 100% fluent in English.

This only the beginning. The everyday Quebecer will suffer.

Temporary mean never ?

Quebec is a small market; for US companies, it may not be worth the effort to sell into Quebec directly. Instead, they might farm off the reseponsibilty to a Canadian company who will likely mark up the goods to absorb the costs.

If that's the case then Quebec should have all there traffic signs and public employees bilingual

That’s ok, they will just buy them online

Happens all the time, small suppliers can't be bothered with French language warranties and labeling for a small market.

OtterBox I just threw my case in the garbage. I’ll never buy a new one from you.

😂language issues🤣

May 2022 - Petro Can in Brossard. Me - 'Can I get the receipt for Pump 7? It's out of paper.' Attendant - 'French!' Me - (Points to Pump 7) 'No paper, visiting from Ontario'. Attendant - 'Don't you think it would be worth your while to learn French before coming here?' Me - 😑

Pela cases are better anyways (and compostable). But I’m sure this extreme inconvenience will teach the people of Quebec about the hazards of not wanting to lose their language 🙄.

🤣🤣 Perfect opportunity to open a business redirecting shipments into Quebec!!....Perfect!! When Prohibition hits you go to Canada!!

Gotta do what ya gotta do.

This has happened before when Quebec's over-the-top language laws have gotten too much for corporations to take.

A phone case is something that can not be made in canada ?

It’s the 80’s all over again. This is what happened after the PQ ascended to power and implemented all those French language regulations.

Wait. Isn’t that unconstitutional? 🤔

Thanks God I live near the Ontario border!

Don’t blame them, ridiculous

francoislegault SJB_CAQ MinFitzgibbon plus de recettes fiscales perdues dans un monde technologique en croissance rapide et vous chercherez alors plus de subventions de la part du gouvernement fédéral. Vous êtes tous des imbéciles

Perfect.

Singing Karaoke in Japan? When will he stop his vacationing? People are hungry in his country.

Quebec does that to everyone. They are the pain in the arse province.

96 is just a excuse, it's like Spanish in California

Not surprised A friend of mine in the US was hung up on when she called Giggles in Lasalle to order balloons for my birthday Her question was “Good morning,do you speak English” Tried a second time, different person and again was hung up on. Disgusting!!!!

and let it begin we are doomed in this province with the facist caq

should ban them in Canada

Soon Quebec will start demanding Nike must be in French

🤦‍♂️Quebec 🤦‍♂️

French requirements jacks up the price of regular goods.

Ha ha wish every supplier would do that permanently on everything shipped to the dark zone .

🐸

wheel friend wing

Who doesn't think that is f****** hilarious

IranianLivesMatter

What?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Epic

Oh no! Not a « phone case company »! 🤣

Quebec's loss.
