The company already has two South San Francisco locations and is looking to expand.

Drug giant Eli Lilly and Co. is on the hunt for 300,000 square feet of additional space in South San Francisco.

A spokesperson said on Monday that Lilly has two locations in South San Francisco totaling approximately 130,000 square feet, but declined to comment on its expansion plans."While we regularly evaluate our strategy regarding all Lilly sites worldwide, we do not share the details of those strategic evaluations," the spokesperson said in an email.

Lilly could be looking to expand its biotech incubator, which it launched at 681 Gateway Blvd. in 2019.Lilly Gateway Labs, overseen by site head and Chief Operating Officer , was designed to provide space for up to 15 young companies. Last fall, Lilly Gateway was largely occupied.
