In late 2019, FIS committed to bring at least 500 new jobs to Jacksonville within 10 years to increase its local workforce to 1,800 employees. Pozmanter said FIS is already 75% of the way to that goal as of the headquarters opening. "This moment marks a new chapter in the growth story of FIS and for this city as well, as Florida and the First Coast continue to blossom as a hub for the fintech industry, attracting young and experienced talent to the community," Pozmanter said."Jacksonville continues to be an epicenter of finance, with 20 major banks, insurance and investment firms on the Forbes Global 500 list having centers of operation in the city.
