BILD Alberta recognizes top work in communities and homes.

At the Building Industry and Land Development Alberta Awards held in September, University of Calgary Properties Group earned top honours with a Pinnacle Award for Developer for its University District community, while Morrison Homes picked up the Pinnacle Award for Large Volume Builder, as well as four separate awards for best home model.Sign up to receive daily headline news from the Calgary Herald, a division of Postmedia Network Inc.

And, at the 2022 BILD Alberta Awards, held in September, in addition to earning the Pinnacle Award for Large Volume Builder, it also won best-in-class in four single-family categories — Under $325,000; $325,000 to $350,000; $375,000 to $425,000; and $475,000 to $525,000.

Calgary-based Trico Homes also earned accolades for its Concord single-family home model in the community of Ambleton, winning in the category of best single-family home $425,000 to $475,000 at the BILD Alberta Awards. When it comes to custom designed homes, Luke Obodzinski of Dream Ridge Homes says that success stems from great design. In its award-winning New York Brownstone custom design located in the inner-city community of Marda Loop, the design team took the same principals of design and luxury that they use in their multi-million-dollar designs and translated them into a smaller footprint.Article content
