GM used the tax cuts to buy back stock and not reduce company debt. Now they are reducing the workforce because they want to reduce expenses to reduce their debt and obligations.
realDonaldTrump unfortunately GM does not have Russia to bail them out of bad business decisions as you were so fortunate. That is why they must act prudently now in shutting factories to avoid further shutdowns. The also have knowledge of economics which you obviously lack.
