Sky News host Peta Credlin says the Albanese government appears to be preparing for a “big intervention in the energy market”.

“This is justified, says the Treasury Secretary, by the exceptional circumstances of the Ukraine war and the unusual profits being made, he says, at the expense of householders here in Australia,” Ms Credlin said.

“If you’re a government that’s addicted to taxing and spending, you can always find exceptional circumstances to justify it.”
