Rachel Murray spends her working life painting cars and frames, but the canvas of her life is much richer in detail than one coat of paint.
Rachel says she met resistance to wanting to work in the industry, from careers advisers and a school more keen on the idea of a university education. "It was dry-docked so we were doing smart repairs all round the boat, on scaffolding and cherry-pickers. "I did it with a Birmingham mechanic called Louise Baker - she bought the car, I came over to England and I stripped it, prepped it and painted it within 18 hours.
She says that there are big shortfalls in staff in body and auto-work and that the industry must be more pro-active.
