CLP Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price says while the government is excited about a solar farm project for the Northern Territory, it’s “not backing in the gas industry”.

“Considering that we’ve got hundreds of years of gas available to us in the Beetaloo, there are traditional owners who have signed off … to contribute to the Australian

energy market in a positive way,” she told Sky News host Peta Credlin.“We don’t have the capacity to effectively recycle a product that is far more toxic than nuclear waste is.”
