Those in charge of the power in Texas will release reports Thursday that could pave the way for massive change involving reliability and the prices you'll pay monthly for electricity.

The decision of what to do next will fall on the state's Public Utility Commission, which oversees ERCOT, the Texas power grid.The commission will take a look and choose which one they think is best, and it's possible that the cost of electricity will go up.

Typical, people want resiliency against every edge case but they only want to pay bottom dollar. And they will toss out an opposing political party as the reason why they cannot get it. It could be worse, we could be paying 2x+ more (California) and have no better reliability.

At some point it will be cheaper to just buy a coal burning system and have it installed at home! Lol.
