The owners of the Arizona Coyotes are waiting to see if the Tempe City Council — and thenWhile the project has been talked about for more than a year, the city of Tempe made public plans for the Tempe Entertainment District earlier this week. The city’s Development Review Board will weigh in on zoning changes that would be needed to develop the project during a Nov. 15 meeting. The documents detail what will be built and why it would need new zoning.

The development agreement is one of three things the Tempe City Council will be voting on during a Nov. 29 meeting and one of the items — most likely the primary item — Tempe residents will be voting on during a special election in May if agreement is approved by the city council and a petition is created and is signed by enough residents.that the team’s ownership wants the voters of Tempe to decide the fate of the proposed arena and entertainment center.
