“People need community and they need one another. During lockdown, Flora provided not just groceries but also a break from isolation. “Big business could close our smaller shops. The energy bills they face are causing huge pressures on them.“As for the energy companies, they also need to help our shops. Businesses want to pay their bills but they need more time.”
Yesterday, she paid €7,000 off her €20,803.41 bill – which she first revealed in a tweet that has now had nearly 16,000 responses and over two million engagements.
