Justin Verlander says market will dictate where he pitches next

Justin Verlander has had many a special moment since joining the Astros, but his eyes are on the future, which might or might not include them.Justin Verlander unanimously captured his third career Cy Young Award

Verlander became a free agent after he turned down a $25 million player option in his expiring contract with the Astros. A reunion with the Astros, while not off the table according to Verlander, seems increasingly unlikely. “I'm kind of committed to myself that we are on this journey, and this has been nothing short of incredible with the Astros,” Verlander said. “I'm not a negative person, so I don't want to sit here and say that I won't be back, because it's been a wonderful ride. I don't know what's going to happen, so I'm not going to sit here and pretend to know. I'm just going to be in a situation where the market will dictate itself. We'll see what happens.
