ticket fiasco ... because the feds are reportedly already investigating the parent company of Ticketmaster for possible antitrust violations.... trying to see if the company's abusing its massive market power to screw millions of music fans over.
While the Swift madness certainly adds to the drama, it seems like the investigation has already been going on for months -- with NYT's sources saying the department's antitrust division has already been contacting venues in the industry about Live Nation's past practices and the overall dynamics of the ticket industry.
As you know, all hell broke loose as fans flocked to Ticketmaster to try and get their hands on a ticket to"The Eras Tour" this week during the presale.
ARE YOU KIDDING!! The DOJ has LOTS more to take care of besides Ticketmaster.
Good job JusticeATR! This has been a problem for a long time! It happened with mileycyrus’ Summerfest tix last year too! 👏👏👏
A guy on your staff who doesn’t even like Taylor bought 6 tickets He said he isn’t going to the show. How much is he selling all those tickets for?
They need to go back to the old way. No phones. Line up on sale date outside a ticket master
They need to because this appears orchestrated.

I miss the 80s… the night before tickets went on sale, we all got in line at a ticketmaster outlet… with our lawn chairs and blankets. and we partied all night waiting for them to open the next day. Good times. 🍻

Who cares. This is not news.
Another fiasco under Biden.
Easiest investigator ever! See how many tickets actually go first person and how many immediately end up on broker sites like stubhub and others. Biggest monopoly ever!
With all the important issues going on that need attention, this is on the list?.
How bad are they? I used to work at Tower Records for 6.25 an hour in the late 1990s, & we hated them then too.
If one was to play devil's advocate? Tricky Mustards always been turrible.
