A tiny new restaurant could become this restaurant-heavy neighborhood's next hidden gem.

A new restaurant is coming to the Mission District with some Michelin bonafides, according to a new liquor license application from two local wine experts.

Dominique Henderson — former wine director for one of San Francisco's most celebrated restaurants, Rich Table, and owner of Gemini Bottle Co. — has teamed up with winemaker Alexander Pomerantz to apply for a restaurant liquor license at 2845 18th St. Pomerantz is co-founder of Subject to Change Wine Co. in Richmond.

The recently formed entity connected to the license — and possibly the new venture's name — is Bar Gemini. Henderson and Pomerantz weren't immediately available for comment on Monday but I'll update this story if I hear back. The space will take up just 720 square feet on the ground floor of The Madelon, a new apartment building at 2823 18th St.

The new restaurant will be in good company. Its neighbor in the building is Michelin Guide pick Osito, new American restaurant Liliana and home goods store Norden Living. Nearby are Michelin-lauded
