Google searches for hybrid work are continuing to grow. Business owners should be prepared to look at their own policies.

That means companies that are pressing for an end to hybrid arrangements could be setting themselves up for recruitment and retention challenges.

Other surveys have shown offering hybrid work options to workers can boost retention and also customer satisfaction. A survey of 300 small- and midsize-business owners by Intermedia Cloud Communications found 69% believed that offering remote and hybrid options increased their employees' job satisfaction, and 64% said they experienced increased customer retention since offering hybrid options.

“Find out how many days a week they would like to work from home, if certain days are preferable, and of course, whether they would even like a hybrid model. Not everyone might want to work from home or have a suitable environment to do so, and they must know they can still come into the office full-time,” O’Grady said.
