Summer Creek has 'unfinished business' against Katy in football regional semifinal

The whole offseason at Summer Creek has been about unfinished business and getting back to the regional final.

“It left a bad taste in our mouth for sure,” Riley said. “But we knew in the second half that we were there in the playoffs for a reason. That game is something that we haven’t forgotten. This time we have to have the same intensity throughout the whole game. We have to come out early and play the same for 48 minutes.”

“I just think we have learned from those four losses,” Summer Creek coach Kenny Harrison said. “We know that looking back at the four losses we could have done things differently and executed a little bit better.”The Houston Chronicle's Jon Poorman looks at the highlights of the second round in the Houston area and what to watch for in the third round of the high school football playoffs.This is the 19th straight season Katy has made the third round since Joseph took over as coach in 2004.
