The nonprofit dedicated to free market principles has asked the Phoenix Convention Center to keep competing conservative groups away from AmericaFest.

In the contract Turning Point USA executed for AmericaFest, the four-day convention scheduled for Dec. 17 in Phoenix, the nonprofit dedicated to free market and capitalistic principles asked for the city’s help in keeping competing organizations away.

“It’s the basic freedom of us to be able to ask for exclusivity and they agreed to it,” Kolvet said. “We exercised our freedom of enterprise to give ourselves an opportunity to have a better position.” Tickets for students, whom the event is targeted toward, are $55. Adult general admission is $350. VIP tickets top out at $750 for adults.

Its 2022 contract added four more groups. Those groups included American Populist Union, American Conservative Union, America First Foundation and the American Freedom Tour.In an emailed statement, Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, the group that puts on the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, known as CPAC, said he considered Turning Point USA an ally, rather than a competitor.

Wait, didn't white supremacists try to enter a turning point event several months back? So who exactly are they talking about? Because it seems to me like this is a misleading headline. They are among the 'opposition' you cite.

Group that loves capitalism cry's and begs for there to be no competition. 'the nonprofit dedicated to free market and capitalistic principles asked for the city’s help in keeping competing organizations away.' Apparently they don't appreciate free market values

Wait, there’s a competing Klan rally?

Where are the quotes from the CityofPhoenixAZ about why it's allowing a private organization to dictate these terms?

I am sad Phoenix would rent space to such a group, let alone stifle competition.

Time for the entrepreneurial PhoenixConCtr to propose its $2,500,000 daily exclusivity package.

PhoenixConCtr is under no obligation to rent to fascists. They can and should deny all these groups, for the betterment of human civilization.

With Charlie Kirk at both events.. this makes zero sense.

What is the firearm policy at this patriotic event? Open carry I assume?

Free market and capitalistic principles group ask to keep competition away. Conservatives are really bad at stuff.
