Some shops at the Kano Street, behind Main Market in Onitsha, Anambra State have been razed by fire. The Main Market is about the biggest market in West Africa

It was gathered that the fire started at around 1am on Monday, and the men of the Anambra State Fire Service are on the ground battling to extinguish it.

A trader, whose identity was not ascertained, said so far, two blocks of shops have been razed.It was gathered that the fire started at around 1am on Monday, and has defied attempts by men of the Anambra State Fire Service to extinguish it.
