The latest Status of Gender on JSE-listed Boards report shows that the proportion of women on boards has increased to 32% from 23% in 2017. But while there has been some progress, there are still many companies without a single female board member.

Seventeen of the JSE-listed companies analysed by non-profit company, Business Engage Association, and its initiative, the 30% Club Southern Africa, still didn't have a single woman on their boards last year.
