At this time, oil and gas companies cannot operate without polluting. Pollution will continue because that’s how the equipment works. The Permian Basin — where you claim to have seen “thriving and active fields”— is now the No. 1 worst oil and gas polluter in the world. Obviously, it is in our best interest to strive for U.S. energy independence. So why then does our president not embrace our oil and gas producers and treat them as valuable assets instead of liabilities?
