It is a mail and delivery service in honor D’Vonne’s great-grandfather, who was a mail carrier for nearly 40 years.
D’vonne was shot and killed at the store on Oct.19, and Keanna witnessed it. Since the reopening of the store, she said remembering the past is how she gets through the workday without him. "It feels good, but it’s scary. It doesn’t feel wrong, it doesn’t feel like I’m not supposed to be here. I feel like when you plant a seed and you finally see the tree," said Keanna. "D’Vonne’s life, my life, our legacy is literally an orchard. And that’s how we see it. It’s going to continue to feed and provide for our generations, our community generations.
