Sinn Féin finance spokesperson Pearse Doherty has warned that housing is at"huge crisis point", with nurses in Dublin spending half of their salaries on"extortionate" rents.

Mr Doherty said housing was now a"huge crisis point" because so many nurses were emigrating, and the Government should adopt Sinn Féin's policy of a three-year rent freeze and giving a month's rent back into people's pockets. — RTÉ News December 8, 2022 Tánaiste Leo Varadkar told the Dáil that"everyone in Government" recognises that there is a"deep crisis" when it comes to housing.

.... from the party with lots of planning objections. These people are un-embarrassable.

And the other half on childcare!!!

Pay the nurses a proper wage, not peanuts

Been at extortionate prices for years. Gov consistently drops the ball. Never again should people's homes be a means of gouging money from workers. The constitution needs amending to protect renters, and a case needs filed against those abetting what amounts to racketeering.

Asylum racket and NGO fanboys Sinn Féin in failed attempt to understand basic supply and demand concept.

FG/FF want you to worry about landlords 'fleeing the market' because you can't afford to pay their mortgages for them and line their pockets. Meanwhile Irish citizens flee the country. Root and branch approach needed.

The government could cap rent prices but don't want to as the majority of them are landlords. We are been taken for clowns here .. every sector in this country is on its knees the government is an absolute joke.

And the rest, not just nurses!
