Lalong said tourism development and economy were the major reasons his administration prioritised the revival of the sport, explaining that many people, who did not know Jos before, have started identifying with the city because of golf. “That is the economy. It is also adding to tourism. Today, I am very happy that by the grace of God, we are ending very well,” he said.
