Now the railroads are saying that, given today’s modern technology, just one person is enough. The Federal Railroad Administration, the government regulator overseeing the industry, and the rail unions don’t see it that way. The FRA held a hearing Wednesday on a proposed rule that would mandate a two-person minimum staffing each train. Right now, union contracts, and not any kind of federal regulation, require two-person crews.
If approved, the federal rule would still allow single person crews where they are now in use, but prohibit them on the long-distance trains, and it would remove the issue from future negotiations. That would be a big win for the unions, which would no longer need to concede on other key bargaining issues to maintain the two-person crews in future negotiations.
No! It would be like flying a plane! You need two just in case of illness etc etc
Sanders became interested in politics at an early age. He said, 'A guy named Adolf Hitler won an election in 1932, and 50 million people died as a result, including six million in concentration camps. So, what I learned as a kid was that politics is, in fact, very important.'
The railroad, as an industry, is 200 years old. The brake technology that stops a train is 150 years old. The CEOs that run the railroads have been out of B school for less than 40. The technology they're talking about is less than 10. Whatever.
I want to hire people that never had a job to run my business. How the ledt thinks
Has anyone seen how much those criminals held us up who work on the railroad

Railroad unions hopeful Biden will act to give workers paid sick time | CNN BusinessRailroad workers may yet get the paid sick days that were at the heart of their threat to go on strike – if the Biden administration steps in with an executive order. FFS with the EOs. Crimony! What a bunch of crybabies... 'On average, railroad workers make an annual salary of $64,210. Depending on the position, salaries may be higher or lower.' Not too shabby with just a high school diploma required to start working on the railroad. All the live long day. Why have labor/management discussions when the president can impose and then modify any agreement? I must have missed the change in government from of the people to ruled by decree

Tesla: Our 'failure' to make actual self-driving cars 'is not fraud' | CNN BusinessTesla CEO Elon Musk has said numerous times since 2015 that Tesla cars would be entirely self-driving in two years, or less. But years after his self-imposed deadlines have blown by, it still hasn't happened. Even when equipped with a $15,000 technology package that is literally called 'Full Self Driving Capability,' a Tesla car can't actually drive by itself. Tesla isn’t sued for failure but for defrauding consumers & investors by telling lies of success. I would be shocked if the Judge can’t see the obvious. as predicted, emotional spaceman bad. Got a verifiable source?. No.. amusing yet telling, kids elon is 'climate change' kids
