Inward investment agency told government it was ‘critical’ that Ireland addressed issues around planning, housing and energy if it was to continue attracting companies from abroad

The state agency in charge of foreign direct investment warned the government that infrastructure and housing issues could damage the country’s ability to attract companies from overseas, briefing notes show.

IDA Ireland told the Department of Enterprise that it was “critical” that these issues, as well as energy and planning concerns, were addressed if the country was to continue competing for talent from abroad.
