December 15, 2022The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a Fidelity Bank worker, Emmanuel Ebere, who slumped at the finance house’s branch in Ikoyi, an affluent neighbourhood in Lagos, southwest Nigeria.Ebere who was attached to the Information and Communication Technology unit of the bank was said to have slumped while on duty.
“Based on the report, a team of detectives from the Ikoyi Division visited the hospital and examined the corpse. No mark of violence was seen on the body. Corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the Marina General Hospital morgue for autopsy.”Similarly, two men working on an elevator in a building on Alexander Road, Ikoyi, have been reportedly electrocuted.
Hundeyin also confirmed the incident, identifying the workers as Samson Gbemileke, 32, and Henry Dozie, 37. The duo were taken to Ever Care hospital in Lekki where Henry Dozie was confirmed dead, while the second victim survived."The corpse has been deposited in the Island General hospital morgue, Marina for autopsy. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing," he added.
