With NIL, should mid- to late-round NFL QB prospects enter the draft or hit the portal? 'There’s more money to be made as a portal QB than as an NFL QB,' one SEC recruiting coordinator told The Athletic.

. Now the Bruins must replace Thompson-Robinson. They’ve been very active on the transfer market, but the bidding war for transfers has changed dramatically since last winter.

How is his second recruitment going now that he’s in the portal? His father, Deon Glover, couldn’t help but sigh when asked that question on Tuesday morning.“We’ve got basically a week,” Glover said. “It just doesn’t make any sense. You’ve got three times as many offers and 10 times less time.” Glover said they have “tremendous confidence” in coach Mack Brown but felt that first-year defensive coordinator Gene Chizik’s scheme wasn’t the right fit for Grimes’ abilities. His son wants to play in a defense where he has more opportunities to challenge receivers, jump routes and make plays. The feedback that Glover has been hearing in recent weeks suggests Grimes would be a third- or fourth-round pick if he went pro now.
