WhatsApp has been adding a lot of features this year and the latest one before ending 2022 is Improved Calling. In this update, the company has added 32 Person Calls, Message or Mute Call Participants and Call Links.
The new features are pretty straightforward. Just like with voice calls, you can now do video calls on your mobile with up to 32 people . You can also choose to message or mute a call by doing a long press on a participant, which will also enlarge the video or audio feed while the calls are ongoing. Finally, you can easily invite people to a group call by sharing a call link.
On top of that, there are other design changes made in the update. WhatsApp has also added colourful waveforms so that you can see who is speaking if their camera is off. An in-call banner notification will appear when someone new joins a group call and last but not least, there is beta testing on a Picture-in-Picture for iOS users. It should be rolling out in the new year.
To recap, WhatsApp has added several new features, this includes view-once messages, avatars, messaging yourself, reacting with emojis, creating polls, 2GB file sharing, transferring your chat history and many more. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
