Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco president Mary Daly said policymakers are committed to lowering inflation and are not close to accomplishing that task Referring to the central bank’s forecast that rates will peak above 5 per cent next year, Williams said “it could be higher than what we’ve written down” if that’s what it takes reduce inflation.
