The Galleria and Erieview Tower, home to TransDigm, whose CEO is one of the highest paid in Ohio
An analysis found that of the 54 large state employers who file reports under the federal Securities and Exchange Commission, average pay for CEOs was up to $21.7 million in 2021, a rise from $16 million in 2020. “Meanwhile, these 54 corporations cut median pay for workers or added more low paying jobs, pushing the median pay down from $51,494 in 2020 to $48,283 last year,” Policy Matters Ohio said in a statement on the report.
“Last year, corporate price gouging made it harder for many Ohioans to make ends meet, but many of the CEOs driving the problem did better than ever,” according to the report’s author, Michael Shields.
You would think peoples first thought seeing this would be. How do i become a ceo, or get money thats comparable. Instead they choose to complain and still be in the same spot next year.
Balance that against fact that it is a wonder Ohio has any business left in the first place.
Who is surprised by this?
Why aren't Ohio voters mobilized by this?
Well, that sucks.
I wouldn’t piss off CEOs if I was Cleveland Scene.
Probs because the typical employee doesn’t do Jack cock or have any responsibility compared to them
Cleveland Scene - always trying to divide people rather than bring them together.
No shit. The degrees that they have. While the lil people do all the work the higher paid just looks important.
Yeah and typical Ohioans are against unions and vote for Republicans that give favorable tax treatment to these millionaire CEOs. Why doesn't anyone ask these CEO's how they can justify the large disparity in wages? Dont accept excuse that CEO wage is comparable to others.
