Cotton, who succeeds James H. Grossman Jr., will start his new position on Jan 17.

The Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System Board of Trustees on Wednesday voted to name Benjamin Cotton as the Chief Investment Officer of the system.

Ben Cotton is a U.S Marine veteran who brings more than 25 years of corporate leadership, investment, and internal control experience to his new role as PSERS Board of Trustees CIO. The board also thanked Bob Devine, who served as interim CIO during the nationwide search, which began in May 2022.
