Opinion by Catherine Rampell: Republicans have made it a priority to claw back the $80 billion that Democrats allotted for the IRS. Audits of mega-corporations and millionaires have plummeted, and the IRS drops the ball for high-profile targets like Trump.

in auditing the highest-profile of tax targets, Donald Trump. Whatever happened there — and we still don’t know why the agency didn’t enforce its own policy of mandatory audits of the sitting president — Trump is far from the only deep-pocketed taxpayer with dodgy or aggressive tax practices who has escaped scrutiny in recent years.

🤔Doesn’t Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world Own WP. I’m pretty sure if the plan was to go after “mega-corporations” Like Amazon this story wouldn’t have seen the light of day.

Mmm...and I wonder how much would have been recouped by the extra IRS audits of the mega-corporations and millionaires etc? And saving what for who? 🤔

What WaPo doesn’t say is that those IRS agents are not going for mega corporations & millionaires, they never do, look at stats. Their going after regular average income earners like they always do. The stats don’t lie, only the Washington Post does & covers for democrats!

Sickening!

Defund the IRS. Since you won't report on the twitter files, many won't see how corrupt the FBI, DNI, and intelligence community is. Imagine the damage 87000 new agents can do. Also, the $600 limit is a joke. Billionaires clearly work in $600 transactions. Targeting.

They said Trump! Everyone take a drink!

The false narrative of the Tax Police rather than the Tax Laws and Loopholes passed by Congress 💰💰💰💰. Clever

Excerpt: 'We know that the IRS mysteriously dropped the ball in auditing the highest-profile tax targets, Trump. Whatever happened there — and we still don’t know why they didn’t enforce its own policy— Trump is far from the only deep-pocketed taxpayer with dodgy tax practices'

The Senate is where bill go to die. Pelosi passed over 800 bills that died in the Senate because Senate Democrats need at least 10 Republican votes. Schumer gets to decide what bills get a floor vote. Nothing changes until a bill becomes a law.
