Two rooftop bars downtown up for city approval

A rooftop bar tied in with a gas station station in LaVilla and a bar near VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena will be under review by the Downtown Development Review Board Jan. 12.

With the proposed additions, the commercial space will total approximately 9,219 square feet. The structure at 234 A. Philip Randolph Blvd. dates back to 1910, records show. Gilbane Building Company are listed as the project contact and Helman Hurley Charvat Peacock Architects as the design firm. The site is located at the corner of Broad and Forsyth streets.
