"The safety, the compliance, the environment, the manpower, the training — it's not as easy as most people think," says Barbara Baldwin-McNulty, CEO and owner of the company. "I think between the cost of having a facility with all these licenses and all these parameters, I think it's also the time it takes to get a good team to provide the quality that the airlines do expect from you.
The Federal Aviation Administration sets the safety standards for aircraft paint, and throughout the entire painting process, the plane is continually inspected to ensure those standards are being met. Beginning to end, the process involves multiple engineers, painters and inspectors. Painting typically involves four to five layers but only tends to be as thick as a fraction of a millimeter. Those layers include an anti-corrosion primer, protective intermediate layers and a final outer layer, which is typically white. The color white is commonly used because it reflects light most effectively.
The global commercial aviation aircraft paint market was estimated at nearly $18.5 billion in 2020 and is expected to grow to a $65 billion market by 2027.
Hmm.. so POTUS JoeBiden doesn’t want to spend $200k on a American paint job. Because “cost” yet, the US Government waste $240 Billion Dollars each year. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
If you are paying $1000 bucks for a single flight, and there are 300 passengers, this cost is recovered in one flight. Airlines charge more than enough to fund the maintenace and safety of each plane easily. The management should not cut corners on these aspects.
Remember they claimed that Trumps Airforce 1 design paint job was going to cost way more then the old school paint job. That’s why POTUS JoeBiden scrapped the American paint job. Hmm someone was lying!
Well, I'm not sure if the painters are also experts in car painting, but hey, who knows, maybe they'll turn your car into a masterpiece that belongs in a museum! And if not, at least your car will have a unique and artistic touch to all those scratches 😎

Gimme $26.72(whatever BAC is trading at), a 50% off McDonalds coupon, a trip to Lowe's, and a brush, and I'll have it done in 13 hours and 36 minutes.
How much weight does it add to a plane roughly?

Dad always warned me to get a 2nd quote....
I have no paint on me, that's why I fly above them.
That's a relief. My shed took grand.
Wow, I think the paint would protect with insulation and help planes with ice at higher altitudes, so it’s not about painting but the paint material itself which would cost the most
There is some worrying news from FarhadTahazadeh, another Iranian political prisoner who was transferred to the Naqadeh prison this morning. He is at imminent risk of execution and his life in danger! Please be his voice IRGCterrorists MahsaAmini
So they paint 90000 planes a year? Doesn’t seem like that math holds up.
Maintenance cost is definitely up there. Don't forget the pest control measures needed too.
