They stole my Christmas Eve and my Christmas Day.

No corporate welfare!!

welp, shouldn’t have bought back those shares huh

That's a self own.

I had to take a leave of absence Tuesday because of them cancelling my flights AGAIN. And I'm not taking their Monopoly money/rewards either

Guess who they are going to get that $825mln back from?

Sounds low.

Breaking: Southwest execs future plans involve lottery tickets and a silver mine.

miketheknife007 In the forecast: A Gov sponsored mini bailout...?

That’s a lot of frequent flyers points.

As it should. They got billions in bail out fm the gov and didn’t upgrade their system. Shame on them!

And that’s what you get when you’re running tech from the 90’s

Shucks!

don’t worry the stock went up 4% no one cares

Billions in taxpayer bailouts should help

Boo F'ing Hoo. It's their own fault for poor management.

So how much are they spending on giving their outdated operations software ? they don’t want to talk much about it

Doesn't the Transportation Secretary deserve some criticism? 3.2 billion in pandemic money from the fed, 112 million in executive pay, 400 plus million in dividends. He has the power to change this but instead makes a statement that doesn't help anyone.

Oops.

Sorry, I’m tapped out at the moment

Looks like another corporate bailout the US population gets to foot while the CEO 'retires' with a package half of that.

I was canceled two days before I was slated to leave for LaGuardia from DAL. I was able to rebook on American. Southwest has refunded my flight and given me enough points for a free flight. Do better in the future but thank you for trying making it right. SouthwestAir

Yeah, but can you imagine how much it would have cost to update their systems beforehand? /s

End corporate subsidies! They have enough to function.

Well they will ask the govt to pay for it

Oh no! Anyway

Southwest Airlines holiday meltdown will cost company up to $825 millionThe holiday meltdown at Southwest Airlines last month cost the company as much as $825 million in lost revenue and added expenses, the company said in a government filing. No more stock buy backs for a while then Seems like a minor loss compared to how much they pull in each quarter Man if only they used their Covid relief to pay their employees instead of stock buybacks.

Southwest meltdown may cost the airline up to $825 million | CNN BusinessThe cost of the service meltdown at Southwest Airlines over the year-end holidays cost the airline nearly $1 billion and will cause the company to report a loss rather than a profit in the fourth quarter, the airline said in a filing on Friday. Let them go bankrupt. Don't allow any government subsidies No matter what compensation is given to the passengers, it will never change what happened to those who’s vacations were completely altered and the fact that you can’t have that time back. Funny how disrespecting employees, outsourcing tech jobs, and not updating systems cost them more money.
