This will be the Phoenix-based bank's first foray into Ohio.

Phoenix-based Western Alliance Bank is launching its $2.2 million technology hub in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Westerville, bringing 150 jobs to the Central Ohio region.

Western Alliance is hiring data analysts, engineers, developers, network operators, managers and finance specialists to grow its technology business, and thanks in part to incentives offered locally and statewide, the firm has selected the Westerville site for this initiative. To incentivize the project, the city of Westerville agreed to make an annual payment to partially offset income taxes attributable to the jobs Western Alliance is bringing to the tech hub. These are both relocated and newly created positions, according to the city. The seven-year term of the incentive began Jan. 1 and will end on Dec. 31, 2029.
