The imminent resignation of Optimum curator over death threats allegedly levelled at him and his family will not thwart the NPA's bid to have the formerly Gupta-owned coal mine forfeited to the State, it says. | News24_Business

The imminent resignation of Optimum's curator over death threats allegedly levelled at him and his family will not thwart the National Prosecuting Authority's bid to have the formerly Gupta-owned coal mine forfeited to the state.

"The case will not disappear because of threats. In no constitutional democracy criminals and their masters can be allowed to use threats, money or positions of power and influence to have their way. Such attempts will be resisted with the contempt it deserves by the NPA," the state's prosecutorial arm told News24.
