Cannabis entrepreneurs, local lawmakers and a state business agency will help kick off the year for the cannabis industry at a serious networking session starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 18) at Zeppelin Hall in Jersey City.

It hasn’t snowed yet in New Jersey, but there’s been a flurry of activity in the cannabis space in 2023, adding momentum to the nearly $200 million of legal weed sold in the state last year.to move forward in the licensing process: Eight annual licenses — five for retailers, two for growers or cultivators and one manufacturer of cannabis products; six graduating from the conditional phase to an annual license and 42 conditional licenses.
