A man claiming to have a weapon committed a robbery at a business on Water Street near Ayres Cove on Monday afternoon near 4 p.m. The RNC is seeking footage from the area at the time of the incident.

Officers responded to a business on Water Street near Ayres Cove following the report of a robbery around 4 p.m. Upon arrival, police learned a man had entered the business and demanded cash while claiming he had a hidden weapon.The robber is described as standing around five feet and five inches tall with a thin build.

Police said he was wearing a grey jacket with his hood up and a white N-95 mask at the time of the incident. It is believed that he may have been wearing a black winter hat under his hood. Police ask anyone with information, CCTV, dash camera or cell phone footage from the area at the time of the incident to contact the RNC at
