U.S., Dutch and Japanese officials are close to an agreement to limit China’s access to technology used to make computer chips, a Dutch semiconductor supply company confirmed Sunday. ASML, a leading maker of semiconductor production equipment based in Veldhoven, Netherlands, said it was possible an agreement had already been reached but that it didn’t know any details about the deal or how it would affect ASML’s business.
ASML is the world’s only producer of machines that use extreme ultraviolet lithography to make advanced semiconductor chips. The Dutch government has prohibited ASML from exporting that equipment to China since 2019, but the company had still been shipping lower-quality lithography systems to China.
They NEED to get on board NOW, when we're at war with CHINA over TAIWAN and they're in a similar situation to UKRAINE it will be a little too late, just like the SLOW responses to RUSSIA invading UKRAINE. We (USA, EU, NATO, ALLIES) need to be more PROACTIVE NOT REACTIVE.

First of all, it's not that China can't make it, but that it can't get around patents. If China uses it by itself, it won't care about your patents. It directly makes it for its own use. As for sales, it can break through slowly!
The only way THE WEST can function is to block others they deem a 'threat' from doing so. It's literally 'lack' mentality. 'There isn't enough to go around. They may abuse us. They may take it from us. They may take advantage'. Just sick. THE WEST is sick.
