Colorado has been dubbed the car theft capital of the country, with more than 40,000 cars stolen last year alone. That marks a 10% increase from 2021 and most of the cars were stolen in the Denver metro area.
Still, the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority reports there were 1,159 F-250s stolen across Colorado in 2022, making it the 11th most stolen vehicle. There were 672 F-350's reported stolen last year as well. Some public shaming may well be necessary. Media ought to have a page on their websites of all, and I do mean ALL the daily car thefts. Maybe it would finally push CO legislature into improving life instead of stealing money & push DAs into prosecuting instead of plea agreements.
