Bret Taylor's last day at Salesforce was Jan. 31. His next venture will be an AI company that he's launching with Google veteran Clay Bavor.

The former Salesforce executive is teaming up with Google LLC veteran to launch an artificial intelligence company, the two announced on Wednesday in separate posts on LinkedIn.

"Rarely do you encounter a new technology so powerful that it feels inevitable that it will change the course of every industry. I remember feeling that way when I first used a web browser in high school, and then again when I first saw Steve Jobs demonstrate the iPhone in 2007," Taylor wrote."I have that same sense of excitement and inevitability about modern AI, especially given recent advances in large language models.

Taylor and Bavor previously worked together at Google, where Bavor currently still leads Labs, the tech giant's"forward-looking bets" division. They will begin working on the new venture in March but haven't revealed a name, investors or other specifics.Taylor
