The job cuts come just a week after three other firms announced layoffs in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Transdev Inc. and Bedding Acquisition LLC are laying off a combined 157 employees in North Texas.

Companies conducting mass layoffs must file notices underTransdev Inc., an Illinois-based transportation company, contracted with Waymo, a subsidiary of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc., in Lancaster. Waymo operates anThe company has set priorities on Waymo One, an autonomous ride-hailing service, which recently announced plans to expand to Los Angeles.

Some of the workers at the Grand Prairie plant were represented by the Southwest regional joint board of Workers United. The 74 layoffs are effective March 31.
